The Non-Reds Frankenset: Cards #379 - 414

I'm back with my next update to my non-Reds Frankenset.  In preparation for today's post, I also ended up swapping out a card from much earlier in the binder with a different card of the same number.  I think I'll enjoy having the binder once it is completed and using it to compare any future non-Reds cards that I end up with.  In that sense, my goal is for my non-Reds Frankenset to be a "living" set as I continue to collect cards!

However, that's all putting the cart ahead of the horse a bit since I need to complete my first run through my cards and fill up the binder pages as much as I can right now!

Cards 379 - 387:

Best card on the page:  I don't remember Barry Manuel at all but I enjoy the '97 Fleer card of him stretching.  That's definitely an image you don't see often on baseball cards!
Worst card on the page:   I'd love to replace that Joey Hamilton since the card (and player) have no particular interest to me, not to mention there are back-to-back cards from the 1999 Topps set (something I try to avoid when possible in my Frankenset).  On the bright side, the page is full!
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375

Cards 388 - 396:

Best card on the page:  The Frank Tanana was one of those random base cards that I knew I wanted in the Frankenset.  Also, I got to sneak a photo of a Reds' player in (Greg Swindell) since the card is officially an Astros card.
Worst card on the page:  Nothing is terrible on the page, I guess my least favorite card is the Topps All-Stars card, mostly because I find it somewhat difficult to read the player names (especially sideways in the binder page).
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375

Cards 397 - 405:

Best card on the page:  As we cross into the 400s, the set choices get even slimmer!  I think the Kirk Gibson is the easy favorite on this page, thank goodness for goofy Upper Deck images.
Worst card on the page:  The two missing spots are a bummer but as far as the cards present I'd say that the Howard Johnson and Wade Boggs both are pretty dull, run-of-the-mill cards and could be replaced by something more interesting down the line.
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375, 399, 401

Cards 406 - 414:

Best card on the page:  Woof, this page is rather lousy all around.  If I had to pick a best card, I'd give the nod to Jose Vizcaino with his bat bag.  That photo, along with the Everth Cabrera one, are the only two cards that have a chance of sticking around in the non-Reds Frankenset for the long term.  Of course, as we continue to progress up the card numbers the choices get slimmer and slimmer!
Worst card on the page:  The Arther Rhodes photo of basically just his butt isn't a favorite of mine.  The Jeff Locke horizontal card also looks fairly bad in a binder page.
#'s missing still:  91, 190, 191, 193, 194, 195, 196, 196, 198, 199, 227, 279, 347, 353, 368, 369, 373, 375, 399, 401, 406

That does it for the next four pages of the binder.  As always, I love to hear what you think of my selections!
